Please tell us a few words about yourself and your gambling expertise.
My name is Alin Tomescu and I have been working in the field of gambling for almost 12 years. My first with this industry was in 2008 when, at the age of 21, I was working as a technician for a slot machine company in Timişoara. Over time, I had the opportunity to train and advance in the hierarchical structure. Thus, until 2013, I had already taken over the position of manager of the same company.
I consider that having both technical and management experience helped me to identify more easily the problems in the field of slot machines operation and find a solution for them. I can say that the opportunity to gain a vision on both perspectives was the factor and, at the same time, the advantage that favored the launch of AtomGaming project.
Can you tell us when and how did AtomGaming emerge on the Romanian gambling industry?
AtomGaming company was launched in 2013 as a project with 100% Romanian capital, representing the experience and ambition of a single person. On the one hand, from the technical position, I got in touch with the situations on the ground and I was able to identify the needs faced by technicians, thus understanding the necessity of technical from the partner service, and, on the other hand, the management position offered me a vision on the need to implement an optimized cost and to create a new method of guaranteeing the serviced payment systems.
Since 2013, we have managed to develop a useful and efficient system that meets the general needs of a gambling company, namely: adequate and fair costs in of service work and telephone/online technical for companies’ field technicians.
Can you briefly describe the team behind your company?
The team behind AtomGaming consists of young people, open to the technological changes of gambling market and industry, aware of the importance of their responsibility and able to provide assistance or technical in the field or over the phone.
What services and products does AtomGaming offer to its customers?
The services offered by AtomGaming are divided into two categories: one deals with the sale of payment systems and the second one provides repair services for them.
Through the sales services we provide equipment for accepting new and refurbished banknotes. Regarding the refurbished payment equipment, we take care of their verification and testing to ensure that all technical and quality requirements are met, these being delivered to customers fully serviced and prepared in of software according to any request of the end customer. I would like to mention that all our products are sold with a standard 2-year warranty, identical to the guarantee of a new banknote acceptor.
Atom Gaming
The second main activity of the company is the servicing offer for the equipment already operated by our partner companies.
The experience gained over time and the received from the operators we collaborate with allowed us to increase the warranty period of our products, namely: 1-year warranty for stacker acceptors and 6-months warranty for those without a packaging system. As far as I know, at this point, AtomGaming offers the best guarantee on the market for both the products sold and especially for those serviced.
The extension of the usual warranty period came as a consequence of the service process for which we did not accept any compromise. We are sure of the offered services quality because each acceptor from the repair process is completely disassembled, each subassembly is cleaned individually and the damaged parts are replaced with new ones. After that, the acceptor is reassembled and only then the software, calibration and test steps are performed. We pay special attention to the testing process. For this reason, we extensively test the acceptors on the test slots within the service, with the full range of banknotes.
What are the regions in our country where gaming operators can benefit from the services that your company offers?
From the very beginning, AtomGaming addressed to all Romanian gaming operators, but, as expected, the first companies I worked with were those at the local level, specifically Timișoara.
We currently have long-term collaborations with companies from Craiova, Iași, Botoșani, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest and beyond.
Even if AtomGaming is currently operating in Timișoara, the distance is not a problem and does not stop us from collaborating with companies around the country, thanks to the receiving/sending system of express courier companies.

We are constantly trying to push our limits and that is why we are doing out best not only to achieve performance, but also to be known both as a supplier of cash-in equipment and provider of full service for them.

I believe that one of our strengths is the ability to service any model of banknote acceptor used on the Romanian market, along with the fact that we offer the greatest guarantee period for the offered services, all of this in a very short time.
At the same time, by knowing the products very well, we manage to professionally meet all the needs of gambling operators, through the services offered, and to minimize the delivery times of the products.
Being aware that technology is constantly changing and knowing how important it is to be able to provide assistance and technical to our partners, we follow the evolution of this sector and keep up with the latest developments in the field of automatic payment equipment.

Given the current situation, how do you see the future of gambling?
Personally, I think we are still going through one of the most difficult times in recent years. Even in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the gambling sector has managed, in a very short time, to adapt to all the restrictions provided by law and to carry out all the measures imposed by the authorities.
The coming months will continue to be difficult, but, as our industry is well prepared and has experience in crisis management, gambling operators will survive.
Like everyone else, I am waiting for the moment when this situation will end and I know that after this stalemate, which has already transformed the industry, we will all come out stronger, because crisis situations not only expose us to risks, but also unite us.

Sunt Alin Tomescu şi activez în domeniul jocurilor de noroc de aproximativ 12 ani. Primul cu această industrie l-am avut în anul 2008 când, la 21 de ani, mă angajam într-o firmă de slot machine din Timişoara pe poziţia de tehnician. De-a lungul timpului am avut posibilitatea de instruire şi avansare în structura ierarhică şi astfel, până în anul 2013, deja mă aflam în poziţia de manager al aceleiaşi firme.
Consider că având atât experienţa tehnică cât şi experienţa procesului de management, am reuşit să identific mai uşor problemele din domeniul de exploatare al jocurilor de tip slot machine şi modul de soluţionare al acestora. Pot spune că posibilitatea de a dobândi o viziune asupra ambelor perspective a fost factorul și avantajul care a favorizat proiectul AtomGaming.
Când şi cum a început aventura AtomGaming în industria de gambling din ţara noastră?
În anul 2013 au fost puse bazele AtomGaming ca un proiect cu capital 100% românesc ce reprezenta experiența și ambiția unui singur om. Pe de-o parte, din poziția tehnică am luat cu situațiile din teren și am putut identifica nevoile cu care tehnicienii se confruntă înțelegând clar nevoia unui tehnic din partea service-ului partener, iar pe de altă parte poziția de management mi-a oferit o viziune asupra nevoii de a implementa un cost optimizat și crearea unei noi metode de garantare a sistemelor de plată servisate.
Din 2013 și până în prezent am reușit să elaborăm un sistem util și eficient care să răspundă nevoilor generale ale unei firme din domeniul jocurilor de noroc, mai exact: costuri adecvate și corecte în ceea ce privește lucrările de service, însoțite de tehnic telefonic/on-line, pentru tehnicienii din teren ai firmelor.
Descrieţi-ne în câteva cuvinte echipa care stă în spatele companiei dumneavoastră.
Echipa care stă în spatele AtomGaming este formată din oameni tineri, deschişi la schimbările tehnologice ale pieţei şi ale industriei de gambling, conştienţi de importanţa responsabilităţii lor şi capabili să ofere asistenţă sau tehnic în teren sau prin telefon.
Care sunt serviciile şi produsele pe care AtomGaming le oferă clienţilor săi.
Serviciile oferite de AtomGaming se împart în două categorii: vânzare de sisteme de plată și servicii de reparație a acestora.
Prin serviciile de vânzare punem la dispoziție echipamente de acceptare a bancnotelor noi, dar și refurbished. Referitor la echipamentele de plată de tip refurbished, noi ne ocupăm de verificarea și testarea acestora pentru a avea certitudinea satisfacerii tuturor cerințelor tehnice și de calitate, acestea fiind livrate clienților complet servisate și softate conform oricărei solicitări a clientului final. Țin să precizez faptul că toate produsele vândute ajung la client cu o garanție standard de 2 ani, identică cu garanția unui acceptor de bancnote nou.

Cea de-a 2-a activitate principală a firmei o reprezintă oferta de servisare a echipamentelor aflate deja în exploatarea firmelor partenere.
Experiența dobândită în timp și feed-back-ul din partea operatorilor cu care colaborăm ne-a permis să mărim perioada de garantare a produselor servisate, respectiv: acceptoarele cu stacker au o garanție de 1 an, iar cele fără sistem de împachetare au o garanție de 6 luni. Din câte știu, în acest moment, noi, cei de la AtomGaming oferim cea mai bună garanție din piață atât pentru produsele vândute, cât mai ales pentru cele servisate.
Mărirea perioadei de garanție uzuală a venit ca o consecință a procesului de service în care nu am acceptat nici un compromis. Avem siguranța calității serviciilor oferite deoarece fiecare acceptor intrat în procesul de reparație, negreșit, este dezasamblat complet, fiecare subansamblu este curățat individual iar reperele defecte sunt schimbate cu unele noi. După, acceptorul este reasamblat și abia apoi se execută etapele de softare, calibrare, respectiv cea de testare. O atenție deosebită o acordăm testării, de aceea acceptoarele sunt testate extensiv pe sloturile de teste din cadrul service-ului, cu toată gama de bancnote.
În ce zone din ţara noastră operatorii de jocuri pot beneficia de serviciile pe care compania dumneavoastră le oferă?
Încă de la început AtomGaming s-a adresat tuturor operatorilor de jocuri din România, dar cum era de așteptat primele firme cu care am lucrat au fost cele de la nivel local, din Timișoara.
În prezent avem colaborări de lungă durată cu firme din Craiova, Iași, Botoșani, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca, București și nu numai.
Chiar daca în prezent AtomGaming funcționează cu punct de lucru în Timișoara, distanța nu reprezintă o problemă și nu ne împiedică să colaborăm cu firme din întreaga țară grație sistemului de primire/expediere al firmelor de curierat rapid.
Ne puteţi descrie în câteva cuvinte compania pe care o conduceţi?
Valorile fundamentale ale AtomGaming ar fi: pasiune şi profesionalism. Pe piaţa produselor şi serviciilor de service în domeniul jocurilor de noroc firma îşi ghidează întreaga activitate în spiritul de a nu accepta / face compromisuri.
Constant încercăm să ne depășim limitele și de aceea ne luptăm nu doar pentru a face performanţă, dar şi pentru a fi cunoscuţi atât ca furnizor de echipamente cash-in, cât şi service complet pentru acestea.
Care sunt principalele atuu-uri ale AtomGaming? De ce aleg operatorii de jocuri să colaboreze cu dumneavoastră?
Consider că având capacitatea de a servisa orice model de acceptor de bancnote aflat pe piața din România, însoțit de faptul că oferim cea mai mare garanție pentru serviciile oferite și toate acestea într-un timp foarte scurt, reprezintă unul din atuurile noastre.
Totodată cunoscând foarte bine produsele, prin serviciile oferite, reușim să răspundem cu profesionalism la toate nevoile operatorilor de jocuri de noroc și reducem la minim termenele de livrare ale produselor.
Conştienţi fiind de faptul că tehnologia se schimbă zilnic şi ştiind cât de important este să putem oferi asistență și tehnic partenerilor noștri, urmărim evoluţia acestui sector și suntem la curent cu ultimele noutăţi din domeniul echipamentelor automate de plată.
Suntem adepții convinși ai unor relații de parteneriat pe termen lung, bazate pe încredere și stimă reciprocă, benefice din toate punctele de vedere ambelor părți.
De ce aleg operatorii de jocuri să colaboreze cu dumneavoastră?
Operatorii de jocuri de noroc aleg să colaboareze noi pentru că suntem o firmă dedicată sistemelor de plată, putem răspunde tuturor nevoilor lor, iar calitatea serviciilor se reflectă și în faptul că oferim cea mai lungă perioadă de garantare.
Având în vedere situaţia actuală, cum vedeţi viitorul jocurilor de noroc?
Personal, cred că încă traversăm una dintre cele mai dificile perioade din ultimii ani. Chiar și în contextul pandemiei de COVID-19, sectorul de gambling a reușit într-un timp foarte scurt să se adapteze la toate obligațiile prevăzute de lege și a dus la îndeplinire toate măsurile impuse de către autorități.
Lunile ce urmează se arată în continuare a fi dificile, dar tocmai pentru că industria noastră este bine pregătită și are experiență în managementul de criză, operatorii industriei vor supraviețui.
La fel ca oricine aștept momentul în care această situație va lua sfârșit și stiu că după acest impas, care deja a transformat industria, cu toții vom ieși mai puternici, deoarece situațiile de criză nu doar ne expun riscurilor, ci ne și unește.
